Description

Embark on a delightful journey of empowerment and celebration at postpaidcall Outdoor's March Hike Crew celebrating International Women’s History Month! Join us and the National Park Conservation Association (NPCA) as we start the night with a scenic hike surrounded by the local beauty of Los Angeles.   

After returning to postpaidcall HQ, it’s time to test your knowledge with an engaging trivia night focused on the remarkable achievements of women in the outdoors! Celebrate the contributions of inspiring women while enjoying wine from The Mill Keeper and tasty snacks!

What should I wear?	Any comfortable athleisure wear and sports shoes will do the trick. Comfort is key, so dress to enjoy the experience! Also, bring a jacket or blanket since it'll cold!
What is the parking situation?	There's ample free, street parking available near HQ. Because we'll be serving wine, please carpool with a designated driver or uber.
What happens if I show up late?	In the event of late arrival, we encourage participants to join us back at HQ at 7:00pm for the wine tasting and charcuterie board.
Is there anything else I need to bring?	Since we'll be hiking in the dark, a headlamp or flashlight would be a good thing to bring as they won't be provided.

What should I wear?	If you're planning to climb, we recommend wearing your climbing gear. But if you're just here to shop, socialize, and enjoy some baked treats, wear whatever keeps you comfy!
What should I bring?	Definitely bring along your climbing shoes if you're aiming to climb (if you don't own any, you can also rent a pair from The Post). And don't forget some extra cash to explore our pre-loved gear and delightful baked goods!
What's the parking situation?	The Post has a spacious parking lot, and if that's full, there's also ample street parking nearby.
Are dogs allowed to come?	While we adore our furry friends, this event is a no-dog event. Please leave your pups at home for this one.
What happens if I show up late?	No worries! You're welcome to join us anytime between 5 and 8 pm. Swing by whenever it suits you!
Can I contribute to the bake sale?	Yes please! We'd love any baked goods donations to help raise funds! Please be ready to list any allergens.

Waterfall Hike & Boba Tea

Join us on January 27th for an invigorating Water Fall Hike & Boba experience led by our wonderful ambassador, Tina. Starting at 8 a.m., we’ll embark on a picturesque 4.6-mile journey to Trail Canyon Falls. This 2-hour, moderate-level hike, with a 1,003 ft elevation gain, is designed to be dog-friendly and is open to 25 participants. Our trail route is known for its lush scenery and awe-inspiring waterfall views – a true hiker's delight.

After we’ve fully immersed ourselves in the natural beauty of the hike, we'll head to Tea Morrow to relax and refuel. There, we’ll share stories over freshly brewed Boba tea, forming connections as warm as our beverages. With only 40 RSVP spots available, be sure to secure your place soon!

What should I wear?	Wear comfortable and weather-appropriate clothing for hiking. It’s best to opt for layers and wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes with good tread, like hiking boots or trail runners. Don't forget your sun protection—hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen are all great choices!
What should I bring?	Please bring water to stay hydrated, snacks for energy, and your camera or phone for pictures. If you're bringing your dog, make sure you have a leash, doggy bags, and a little water dish for your pup.
What's the parking situation?	The parking situation usually involves a small lot at the trailhead, which can fill up quickly, especially on weekends. If the lot is full, there is generally street parking available along the approach road, but be mindful of any posted restrictions. It is recommended to arrive early just in case!
Are dogs allowed to come?	Yes, we love our furry friends! Dogs are welcome at this event, but we do have a few simple requests: please keep your dog on a leash at all times, be sure to clean up after them, and bring a little water dish to keep them hydrated during the hike.
What happens if I show up late?	We completely understand that sometimes things don't go as planned. If you arrive late, you are welcome to try and catch up with the group on the trail, but please be aware that we can't guarantee exactly where we will be at a given time. We recommend aiming to be as punctual as possible!

Are dogs allowed?	Yes, please make sure your dog is leashed, friendly with other dogs and people, and bring plenty of poo bags.
What if it rains or snows?	This hike will go on regardless of weather, unless lightning is in the forecast. Be prepared for rain or snow.
Do I need any special equipment?	Wear warm layers and consider bringing microspikes for extra traction in case it snows or ices over.
Do I need to be an expired hiker?	No, this trail is rated "easy" and will be under 4 miles total. Please make sure you know the Leave No Trace principles before attending.
What happens if I'm late?	Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early. We'll be starting the hike 15 minutes after our scheduled start time.

What is a snowshoeing hike?	A snowshoeing hike is a winter outdoor activity where participants wear snowshoes to walk on snow-covered trails. It's a fun and accessible way to explore winter landscapes.
Do I need experience to join this event?	No, prior snowshoe experience is not required.
Can I rent snowshoes?	Yes, we offer snowshoe rentals for participants who don't have their own. Typically rentals are $5 per hour but price may vary.
What should I bring?	Dress warmly in layers, wear waterproof boots, and bring essentials like gloves, a hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses.
Are there age restrictions for this event?	This event is suitable for all ages.
How long is the hike?	We'll be hiking on Southern Meadow, which is 3 miles.
Can I bring my pet to the event?	Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in the group hike.
What happens in case of inclement weather?	The event may be postponed or canceled in case of severe weather conditions. However, if we receive less than 6 inches of snow, we will hike without snowshoes. Participants will be notified in advance, and alternative arrangements may be made.

Will I need a parking permit?	Yes, Smith Rock State Park requires a $5 parking permit with a self serve kiosk that takes card or cash OR an Oregon State Park Pass.

What is the trail terrain like?	Sandy/rocky/occasionally muddy & lots of stairs on the way up.

Climb with Color 2023 Raises Funds for Barrier-Breaking Climbing Community Groups

Join us at this year's Climb With Color, postpaidcall Outdoors and LA Boulders's climbing festival fundraiser serving Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) organizations and climbing communities. A chance to learn, connect, and grow, Climb with Color offers climbing challenges, a BIPOC-owned small business marketplace, food vendors, outdoor gear raffle, discounted climbing clinics, and more.

As for Lagartijas, they have made an incredible impact in nurturing relationships between communities of color and the natural world. Their programs focus on holistic experiences, ensuring that every participant doesn't just learn climbing techniques but also understands and embodies respect, responsibility, and care for our environment.
