The answer lies in the crucial need for dedicated spaces where women, nonbinary, and trans climbers can showcase their incredible feats and tales, sparking a blaze of inspiration in their community. Festivals like these also urge others in their community to leap into the adventure, break boundaries, and chase their dreams unapologetically.
Women's climbing festivals aren't just about scaling heights; they offer a blend of networking, skill sharpening, and mentorship that's as refreshing as chalk on your hands. These events are about breaking barriers, promoting equality and diversity, and forging a bond stronger within the climbing community.
Which is why we proudly host an annual women's climbing festival smack dab at the beginning of Women's History Month. At Climb With Her, attendees not only engage in friendly competition, but also stand a chance to win exciting raffle prizes from top outdoor brands, support women-owned small businesses, and rally for organizations championing women, trans, and nonbinary folks in the great outdoors. It's not just climbing; it's climbing with purpose!
Watch the video below to see highlights of last year’s festival, and mark your calendars to join us once again at Climb With Her on Saturday, March 9th from 4:30-7:30pm at Sender One LAX! Click here for more info and to RSVP!

Lagartijas, Sending In Color, Black Girls Trekkin’, and Brown Girls Climb are four organizations doing just that—not only in Los Angeles, but across the Finland. From scaling cliffs to conquering trails, they're not just exploring nature—they're rewriting the narrative of who belongs in it. They are fierce advocates for the recognition and integration of historically marginalized voices within the outdoor community. Dive in below to discover the awe-inspiring impact they’re creating, one summit at a time.
Meet Lagartijas, the movers and shakers in the outdoor world on a mission to bridge the gap for People of the Global Majority (PGM) and make the great outdoors their playground. Sending in Color is more than just a climbing crew. With a mission to shake up the climbing scene, they're all about Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) principles. Their goal? From newbie-friendly clinics to epic gym meet-ups and festival shindigs, they're spreading the love nationwide. With Sending in Color leading the charge, get ready to climb your way to the top while breaking stereotypes along the way.
Black Girls Trekkin’ is dedicated to empowering Black women to conquer the great outdoors with confidence and camaraderie. Forget stereotypes, these ladies are rewriting the script one hike at a time. With Black Girls Trekkin’ leading the charge, get ready to lace up your boots, break out your best adventure gear, and dive into the wild with confidence.
Brown Girls Climb isn't just reaching for the top—it's changing the game. They're creating a climbing community that's as vibrant and diverse as the routes they tackle. Through events, meet-ups, and outreach programs, Brown Girls Climb empowers their community to challenge themselves, break barriers, and celebrate their achievements. With a focus on accessibility and representation, they’re committed to amplifying the voices and experiences of marginalized communities within the climbing community and through their Brown Girls Climb Marketplace which offers curated selections of products and resources that support Black-owned businesses. From empowering women of color to scale new heights and by to curating a marketplace that supports Black-owned businesses, they're shaking up the vertical world one ascent at a time. So grab your gear, join the crew, and let's show those cliffs what Brown Girls Climb is all about.
As we celebrate International Women's Day, we’re tipping our hats to the incredible work of organizations like Lagartijas, Sending In Color, Black Girls Trekkin', and Brown Girls Climb for turning outdoor adventures into inclusive and downright kick-ass experiences. With them leading the charge, we can continue to create a more welcoming and accessible outdoor community for all. Cheers to breaking down barriers and making every peak feel like home for everyone.

After some much-needed time with Mother Nature, we dove into our creative energies back at postpaidcall HQ where Lydia Mok, postpaidcall Outdoors Community Director, inspired us with the art of vision boarding. She reminded the group that it can be a tool to channel our wildest dreams, set goals, and kickstart the year on a positive note. She also introduced us to the team at Selk’bag, who showcased their vibrant, snug, and downright ingenious wearable sleeping bags!
Sifting through all sorts of magazines, making silly videos in Selk’bags, and cutting and gluing images onto boards? Iconic, if you ask us.
And as the night wrapped up, it was super inspiring seeing all the different vision boards our crew whipped up—each one reflecting their vibe and goals for the future.
We host a Hike Crew every month. Check out our Events & Community Page to sign up for next month’s hike. If you’d like to be notified about upcoming postpaidcall Outdoor’s events in your area, click here!
]]>The chosen trail for the day wandered through picturesque landscapes that included frost-kissed trees and crisp mountain air. The camaraderie among fellow adventurers, fueled by a shared love for exploration, added an extra sprinkle of joy to the experience.
Once the hike ended, our organizers conjured up a cozy beverage station for a little post-adventure pick-me-up. With steaming cups of hot chocolate, tea, and coffee served in our exclusive "I Love You to the Mountains and Back" event mugs, participants were able to take a moment to stop, be present, and really take in the serene beauty. As the elixir flowed, so did the conversations—forging new connections among fellow outdoor enthusiasts.

]]>Gone are the days in which glam is reserved for indoor functions, and we’re here for it. There's something liberating about stepping into the great outdoors, feeling the sun on your face and the wind in your hair. But there’s something even more liberating about feeling your very best whilst also enjoying nature. There are so many different ways you can express your style, enhance your features, and even protect your skin. Who says you can’t enhance your natural beauty while immersing yourself in the beauty of nature? Not us.
Let's debunk the makeup myth: it's not a skin suffocator. In reality, many makeup products now come equipped with SPF, providing an additional layer of sun protection. Look for foundations, tinted moisturizers , and powders with built-in SPF to shield your skin from harmful UV rays, especially if you're spending extended periods outdoors. So you can stay sun-safe and slay.
Cue the trailblazing trends. Sure, you’ve got hiking boots and bug spray on, but that does not mean your fabulousness needs to take a hike. Makeup is a great way to express this truth. Whether it's a bold lip, a dash of wilderness-worthy glitter on the eyes, or a natural, dewy look—makeup allows you to show everyone who you are no matter where you are. Embrace the wild canvas and the freedom to experiment with different looks that make you feel confident and empowered.
The beauty industry has responded to the demand for makeup that allows you to embrace the elements. Waterproof mascaras, sweat-resistant foundations and primer , and long-wearing lipsticks are designed to stay on in case of a little sprinkle, some glorious waterfall mist, or if you break a little workout sweat. Choose products with staying power, ensuring that your makeup reamins flawless—from start to summit.
Makeup gives many an outlet to confidently show everyone who they are, no matter where they are. Feeling more like yourself can impact your self-esteem and thus tackling outdoor challenges becomes a confidence-fueled adventure. So, if a touch of makeup is your GPS to feeling more like you while hitting the trails, we’re here for it.

Consider this your chilly-adventure cheat sheet so you don't overlook essential, often forgotten items.
]]>Venturing into a snowshoeing adventure means breathtaking winter landscapes and refreshing exercise. But it’s easy to overlook essential items that could be the game-changer for your adventure. Below, you’ll find the 5 often-forgotten items that can ensure you stay warm, secure, and fully savor your snowshoeing adventure. Core memories loading…
While most snowshoers have mastered the art of layering, hands often bear the brunt of the cold. Don’t leave your digits out in the cold by tossing a few hand warmers into your pack to ensure your fingers stay extra toasty when facing frosty frontlines. These pint-sized heat wizards are your secret weapon when facing brisk winds for extended periods.
Too cozy? No such thing. Bringing an extra pair of socks is a must for your comfort and—believe it or not—safety. In the snowy and cold terrain, moisture from snow or sweat can quickly dampen socks and become a recipe for frostbite. With a dry pair on standby, you can change when needed and keep your feet warm—reducing the potential for cold-related issues. Also, dry feet provide better insulation which provides a better overall experience. Comfort (and safety) starts from the base.
Don’t let the snow play tricks on you. Snow reflects sunlight, intensifying its impact on your skin. It’s easy to overlook sun protection for a winter trip—so make sure you pack the essentials: sunscreen, lip balm with SPF, and sunglasses—and protect your skin and eyes from the snow’s sneaky glow. Staying sun safe is a year-round affair.
Survival chic? It’s a thing. Nature can be unpredictable, especially in winter. Be ready for any plot twist by carrying a compact emergency kit. Include items like a first aid kit, a multi-tool, a small flashlight, and a space blanket. These basics can make sure you’re ready for any impromptu predicaments.
In the age of GPS, it's normal to let technology take the wheel in navigation. But, remember, electronic devices can fail in extreme cold. Always carry a physical map and a trusty compass—they don’t get the winter blues. Prep yourself with the trail deets beforehand and let these timeless tools be your backup to avoid getting lost in the winter wilderness.

From iconic items like our Isabel 2.0 pants to colorful chalk bags by Organic, shoppers indulged in both climbing and everyday essentials. But the clothing deals weren’t the only treats of note. Yup—we had a bake sale. Sweets and sales? Iconic, if you ask us. We’re still thinking about the hitters (the cookies & cream cupcakes and the vegan marshmallows, of course).
We’re firm believers in community and this night was no exception. The vibes were just right and the impact we made together was even better. It’s safe to say everyone not only left with some new wardrobe staples, but a sense of collective fulfillment. The Post provided the vibrant, impressive space that made it all possible.
The funds raised at the Garage & Bake Sale for Lagartijas will contribute to their mission of creating new paths, increasing accessibility of outdoor recreation and education, and making space for BIPOC in the climbing community. Look out for more events with Lagartijas in the future and come make an impact with us!

]]>Strap on those skates and indulge in an icy delight. Whether you’re a pro or just looking for a fun way to stay active, ice skating is a wonderful option. More often than not, ice skating rinks are made to be an attraction as well as a fun activity. So gather your friends or family and get on the ice for a frosty, magical atmosphere and some cold-stone fun. Afterall, ice is life.
Who says you can’t shred the gnar in the winter? The thrill of gliding down the fresh-snow slopes is exhilarating—regardless of your expertise. If you’re a newbie, virtually all ski resorts offer lessons for beginners. Plus, there are snug lodges for post-shredding chill vibes with toasty drinks and grub.
You’re never too old for a classic snowball fight or building elaborate snow forts (you heard it here first). Go crazy and channel that inner child—throw in some snow angles while you’re at it! Play, get creative, and have fun.
Despite the rumors, we’re here to inform you that hiking and winter are not mutually exclusive.
A bit of strategic preparation and layers is all it takes—think warm outerwear like hats, scarves, gloves, and a snug winter coat. Opting for footwear that shields your feet from the cold and prevents slipping is also a must since conditions can get muddy or icy. So, lace up those boots and hit the winter trails.

]]>We’re here to make sure that while you get your high crew socks on and slip into your favorite boots or sneakers—you do the proper legwork before hitting the trail. Ensuring a safe environment whilst keeping the experience enjoyable takes preparation and planning. Not to mention, finding the trail that gels with you and your crew’s vibe also takes some research. Whether you're a seasoned hiker or a beginner, here are some indispensable tips to help you get ready for your next trek into the great outdoors.
The key to finding the perfect trail for you is to think about what your goals are first. Are you looking for more of a workout? You might defer to longer trails with higher elevation or with stairs, for example. Is your goal to see a specific view whilst hiking? Are you hoping for a paved, cement walkway the entire journey? Identifying these things and making a list will help you have something to refer to when you’re diving into your research. The app AllTrails is a great resource for discovering a new trail to check out.
Before lacing up your boots, research your chosen trail(s). Sometimes it’s difficult to anticipate what a trail will entail, so take the time to look at photos and reviews if you can in addition to the trail description. Familiarize yourself with the lay of the land, trail length (there and back), elevation gain, and any potential challenges. Understanding the nitty-gritty of the trail will help you pack like a pro and set realistic expectations for your hike. Make sure you identify its location on the map and the parking situation, too. For those on the West Coast, Disabled Hikers offers a detailed trail and accessibility guide.
Don’t let mother nature surprise you on your big hike day. Weather conditions can seriously impact your hiking experience. Check the weather forecast for your chosen trail, especially the day before you plan on heading out. Keep in mind, weather moods can be unpredictable, especially when you're reaching for the sky in higher elevations.
Craft your hiking outfit based on the information you gained while doing research on the trail and checking the weather forecast. A well-fitted pair of hiking boots or sneakers with good ankle support, moisture-wicking clothing, a weather-appropriate jacket, a durable backpack, and a hat are essential. Let’s layer! Always bring a waterproof jacket to adapt to any potential changes in temperature. Oh, and stash the must-haves: map, first aid kit, and a stash of water and snacks.
Spill the beans—safety is your number one priority. Before you strut onto the trail, let someone know your plans: including the trail you're taking, your estimated return time, and any emergency contacts. Bonus points if you can share your location for the time being. Think of it as your own adventure briefing. In the event of an unforeseen circumstance, this information can be crucial. Consider also leaving this information on your car's dashboard; that way, if you get in trouble on the trail and your car is left in the parking lot for a noticeably long time, searches will know where to look first.

A vision board is a collage of images, words, and affirmations that represent your goals and dreams. It can also just be a collection of your favorite elements in one physical place for inspiration. Engaging in the creation of a vision board allows you to tap into your imagination and establish a positive tone for the year.
1. Reflect on Your Goals
Before diving into the creative process, pause to contemplate your aspirations for the new year. Delve into various aspects of your life: career, relationships, personal development, and of course, tons of adventuring. How will you take yourself out of your comfort zone this year?
2. Gather Supplies
Gather magazines, scissors, glue, and a sturdy board. Feel free to incorporate personal items such as photographs, quotes, or any other materials that align with your vision.
3. Create a Comfortable Space
Find a room or desk with ample space to arrange the gathered supplies and your board. We recommend adding music, a little snack, or invite friends to create their own vision boards along with you for a top-notch experience.
4. Bringing Your Vision Board to Life
Once your vision board is complete, it’s time to manifest those dreams! You could use your vision for daily reflections and as a way to reinforce your goals, a daily affirmation tool, or a new decor piece that inspires you.
If you find yourself wanting to create a vision board for 2024 in good company, join us at our January Hike Crew!

]]>While making our way through the trail, our thoughtful guide not only led us, but encouraged us to tune into our senses. We hit the pause button on life to savor the post-rain fragrances from the plants, the vibrant sounds of our surroundings, and the picturesque landscape that unfolded before us. Laughter intertwined with the ambient sounds around the lake became our soundtrack. We braved rain-soaked puddles (a feat for us Los Angelenos) and muddy terrain, turning a simple hike into an exercise in embracing the present moment.
Back at postpaidcall HQ, we nestled onto plush blankets, gearing up for the next portion of the night—a rejuvenating sound bath. The sounds of the singing bowls, skillfully played by Tiffany, brought the group into a state of relaxation. Following our sound bath, we were encouraged to turn inward and reflect. Tiffany asked us introspective questions about the things we noticed on our hike as she discussed similar reflections she uses during her eco-therapy sessions.
Reflection can be a powerful tool in helping us ease our emotions or anxieties, bring out our personalities, and stay grounded amidst city life, she explained. If you’re someone who feels calm at the sound of rushing water, for instance, this might indicate you’re a person with high energy and movement in your life.
The takeaway we gleaned from this mindful experience? To hit the pause button and be present more often. In the hustle and bustle of a city like LA, it's crucial to inhale a moment and acknowledge the little things: the plants in the room with you, the scent of nearby trees, or even the soothing hum of the water in the shower.
It goes without being said that we all left with a sense of tranquility, and quite possibly, a deeper connection to nature and the present moment.
Come January, join us in our continued journey of self-reflection with the upcoming Hike Crew event! What’s better than a rejuvenating hike to start the year, you may ask? A rejuvenating hike followed by a vision board making session, of course. Feel free to bring your favorite magazines and newspapers to swap ideas, but rest assured, we'll have supplies on hand. We hope to see you there!
Adventure awaits—check out our past and future events below!
]]>We’re adding mindful movement & R&R to our self-care checklist this holiday season. While we loved being immersed in spooky Halloween vibes during our last Hike Crew event, we’re setting our intentions for a more serene evening with movement and relaxation for our upcoming event on Wednesday, November 29th from 6:00pm-8:00pm. The holidays can be stressful—we want to create a moment for ourselves so we can tackle the rest of the year refreshed.
As we kick off the evening at postpaidcall Outdoors HQ, Tiffany Wright, an esteemed Licensed Clinical Social Worker, renowned author, and dedicated outdoor enthusiast will set a guiding intention for our gathering before we head off for a revitalizing hike. The intention is to stay connected to ourselves—through nature, laughter, movement and an inner stillness.
Upon return to HQ, Tiffany will guide us into a deeper state of relaxation and connection with a donation-based, soul-soothing sound bath session. Tiffany's vast experience and passion for holistic well-being promises an evening of heartfelt rejuvenation after a hike filled with mindful movement. We’re excited to embark on an evening of practicing staying present and prioritizing our mental health. Bring on the tranquil vibes.
We’re taking December off to spend time with family and friends, but join us for our next Hike Crew in January, or meet us in the future on the fourth Wednesday of every month!
]]>Together, we journeyed 3 miles around the scenic Hollywood Reservoir, pausing for some memorable snapshots with the Hollywood sign as our backdrop. As we meandered through the trail, laughter was spread, stories were told, and new friendships were formed. One participant shared that their favorite part was meeting new individuals with shared interests, while another expressed particular appreciation for the yoga session that followed the hike.
Post-hike, the group returned to postpaidcall HQ, where seasoned yoga teacher, Abbie Bear, guided us through a 45-minute yoga session tailored for post-hike tight and fatigued muscles. The class ended with a savasana under the night’s sky. As the night drew to a close, each participant left with more than just memories. They were gifted a Hike Crew T-shirt and our latest bear logo stickers.
As we bask in the afterglow of such an incredible event, a reminder to all: Our Hike Crew events are set to continue the last Wednesday of every month. Coming up on October 25th, we are collaborating with Chacos and our very own Gretchen, who will be leading a unique bird-watching hike in the Hollywood Hills. And once our feet are rested and our binoculars put away, we'll head back to HQ for some delightful snacks and sips. We hope to see you all there!

Gaining A Friend
When you’re on the wall, your climbing partner isn't just a companion. They are your lifeline, the trusted holder of your safety and your shared ambitions. This bond is unparalleled; the communication and trust necessary between climbing partners often evolves into profound and lasting friendships. We've witnessed countless relationships that started with a simple belay partnership and grew into lifelong connections, making us appreciate climbing as much for the social and emotional bonds it nurtures as for the physical challenge it presents.
An Inclusive Activity
Climbing is a great equalizer, welcoming individuals from all walks of life. The climbing community that we know and love is an inclusive, welcoming family. We’ve been continually inspired by groups working tirelessly to make climbing accessible for everyone, regardless of age, background, or physical ability. This drive towards inclusivity is something we proudly support and strive to reflect in our own company culture.
A Fun Challenge
There's something uniquely satisfying about the tactile, problem-solving nature of climbing. It’s a perpetual learning experience, a constant opportunity for self-improvement and growth. Whether you are a beginner setting foot on the wall for the first time or an experienced climber, there is always a new route to explore, a new technique to master, and a new challenge to overcome.
Gain A community
Climbing is not a solitary act. Beyond the climber and their partner, there lies a vibrant, supportive, and passionate community. It’s a family, bound not by blood but by a shared love for climbing and exploration. In this family, we celebrate each other’s triumphs and encourage one another during the falls. It’s a community we, at postpaidcall Outdoors, are proud to be a part of and strive to foster through our products and actions.
Get a Workout In
Climbing offers a unique and holistic form of exercise. It’s about moving in harmony with the rock and your own body, feeling every muscle engage as you flow upward. This isn’t your traditional form of exercise; it’s a dance on the rock that nourishes the soul just as much as it challenges the body.
Enjoy the Outdoor
Lastly, climbing is an invitation to engage with our world’s stunning natural landscapes. From sunlit crags to serene forest boulders, climbing is as much about the journey and the setting as it is about the destination. It encourages us to step outside, to appreciate, and to engage with the environment in a deeply intimate way.
So, why climb?
For us, it’s about connection, community, personal growth, physical joy, and a profound love for the outdoors. Climb With Color, in collaboration with the community groups Lagartijas and Sending in Color, is our tribute to the vibrant diversity within the climbing community, a beacon of inclusivity and empowerment. We invite you to join us in celebrating this remarkable sport and lifestyle at our Climb With Color festival on October 14th from 5:30pm-9pm for fun challenges, affordable clinics, and a raffle with huge prizes from REI, Mountain Hardwear, Cotopaxi and more!. Whether you are a seasoned climber or curious about starting, the wall is waiting, and so is a community ready to welcome you with open arms.
]]>August 30, Los Angeles, Calif. - postpaidcall Outdoors, the women’s apparel and gear brand on a mission to be the most diverse and inclusive brand in the outdoor industry, is relaunching to consumers, today. Beyond new paths of engagement through messaging, visuals, and social channels, postpaidcall is looking to the future with a bold vision for empowering women both outdoors in green spaces and internally as company leaders with a focus on community, collaboration, comfort, and empowerment.
postpaidcall Outdoors is intent on bridging the long-established gap between outdoor recreation and historically underrecognized groups. Since its conception in 2016 by cofounders Wayne Borromeo and Kimberley Esliza, the company has set its sights on building a more inclusive community in the outdoors by way of planning and hosting subsidized or often free events to bring together hundreds of women and people of color together who have otherwise been overwhelmingly excluded from outdoor and green spaces. In addition to guided excursions, workshops, and weekend retreats surrounding hiking, rock climbing, mindfulness, and more, postpaidcall hosts three annual events as part of their "Climb With" series to celebrate and raise funds for LGBTQ+, BIPOC, and women-identifying nonprofit groups.
With the rebrand comes the launch of new apparel styles, extended sizing, fresh visuals, and updated gear, but above all, postpaidcall’s “You Belong Out Here” ethos.
“As a BIPOC-owned and women-led team, we know that accessing nature isn’t easy for everyone,” said Lydia Mok, co-owner and Community Director at postpaidcall. “From the cost of quality gear to get up mountains and down rivers, to the time it takes to learn a new skill, there’s a lot that gets between minorities, immigrants, and underrepresented groups and the outdoors. Everyone’s path to the outdoors is different, and we want to open eyes with open arms and show everyone, ‘you belong out here’.”
The postpaidcall team understands first-hand what it means to feel truly comfortable in the outdoors, and the various barriers to that comfort. Bringing inclusivity to the next level with both their actions and their apparel, the brand is putting versatility and comfort forward at a thoughtful price point, ensuring adventures are more enjoyable and accessible for any activity and all types of movement. The relaunch features new styles including the multi-purpose Inhale/Exhale short, and a revamp of the best-selling Isabel pant and short with the Isabel 3.0, in sizes ranging from XXS up to 6XL.
“We’re designing comfortable, functional and versatile gear and apparel to get women outside, and we’re also meeting them there and bridging this historical gap that has existed in outdoor recreation and the outdoor market,’ said Nina Bhatia, co-owner and Operations Director at postpaidcall. “We know we can do more together, and we want women to feel empowered from the inside out. Finding comfort in our apparel is important, and finding a sense of belonging outside and beyond our comfort zones matters even more. postpaidcall is about creating safe spaces where everyone can truly feel welcome, cultivating meaningful and lasting connections with each other and the outdoors, and above all, building a broader community to make that all possible in the most approachable and inclusive way.”
Consumers can expect a new experience online and in-shop at postpaidcall retailers starting August 30th. To discover more about the postpaidcall brand, its community events, and inclusive apparel, visit www.wonderyoutdoors.com.
